Common Household pests Earwigs move into homes to find available food or a change in the weather. They usually appear indoors while seeking shelter. Most types of earwigs generally prefer wet areas which are cooler and undisturbed. Earwigs often appear in damp basements, kitchens and bathrooms but can also find their way into almost every part of the home, but infestations are rare. Silverfish feed on carbohydrates, particularly sugars and starches. They will also eat paper, glue in books, cellulose, linen and other dead insects. Silverfish are known for their destructive feeding habits, often ruining books, papers, clothing, stored food, and wallpaper. Since every home and building is unique, so are our treatments for controlling any level of silverfish infestation in your home. House centipedes are typically thought of as nuisance pests, they don't cause harm to property and they pose no significant health risks to people. Because food, protection and moisture attract centipedes in homes, control starts with creating dry, clean conditions. Every home is unique, and so are our house centipede treatments. Our experienced technicians will custom tailor a treatment plan to control the population indoors. Get my FREE quote Back to services page
- Tick Treatment | Incognito Pest Manag
Tick Treatment Ticks are ectoparasites and arachnids, closely related to spiders and mites. They feed only on the blood of warm-blooded mammals like humans, pets, livestock, and wild animals. Beyond the obvious discomfort of a pest that feeds on people they also carry dangerous diseases such as Lyme, Powassan, tularemia, and ehrlichiosis, spreading them to both people and animals. Common species found in Massachusetts (black-legged deer tick, American dog t ick and Lonestar tick) have oval-shaped bodies that are flat unless they have recently fed; after feeding, their bodies swell like a balloon. Adult ticks are wingless and have eight legs. They come in a wide range of colors including black, reddish-brown, or gray. Ticks also have specialized mouth parts that allow them to pierce the skin of their host. This propensity for transmitting disease places ticks among the most dangerous pests that you should always avoid. Our Tick control program treats the yard for any current ticks and those that may be dropped by wildlife passing through your yard. The program is designed around monthly applications typically beginning in early April through the end of September to disrupt the tick life cycle and make a significant reduction to the population. Give us a call today to schedule your free inspection and protect your yard and loved ones right away! Get my FREE quote Back to services page
